I'm so very sorry to hear about your earthly father, yet thankful that he said yes to Jesus before it was too late. I'm thankful and humbled at how this post is touching others--it sometimes is good to step out of comfort zones. May you experience our Daddy's arms wrapped around you today and everyday.

Blessings!Kim Jollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08670842504983601263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6866624902672903575.post-29628759761224298182017-09-25T19:36:04.539-05:002017-09-25T19:36:04.539-05:00Oh Daddy's Arms...beautiful poem and song. He got saved the night before he died, and like the thief on the cross he is now in heaven. I did not love him here on earth but I know I will when I see him. Thanks for such a lovely post. Yes, I know that many people struggle to see God as a loving daddy/father for a variety of reasons. My thoughts are that what I've shared here do reflect a trust in God--so now to get my heart and mind to meet, so I can truly experience God as daddy. I know that I've grown quite a bit in this area, and still have a lot of room to grow.

Blessings,

KimKim Jollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08670842504983601263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6866624902672903575.post-60488620562715835102017-09-25T10:21:03.319-05:002017-09-25T10:21:03.319-05:00Hi Kim! I think your trouble in thinking about God...Hi Kim! I think your trouble in thinking about God as a father is one that a lot of people struggle with. As you said in your ending prayer, our earthly fathers are very human, they are wonderful, with a mix of the human frailty in there too.

I know my dad really loved me, and he was a very smart man. He wasn't very huggy or anything, but I knew his family meant everything to him. In that way, he does mirror God. God's family means everything to him too. He did everything for us, including save us. And of course, God is very smart!
I hope you can work through your feelings to connect with God in a fatherly role. I have every faith that if you want it, God will give it.
Blessings on your important journey,
CeilCeilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06293917798735764739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6866624902672903575.post-82532165900261571502017-09-23T09:33:33.854-05:002017-09-23T09:33:33.854-05:00Awe, Pam, thank you for your kind and sweet commen...Awe, Pam, thank you for your kind and sweet comments--they brought a few tears to my eyes! I smile at the thoughts of the reunion with my daddy one day--a group hug would be pretty amazing! Pam, you're such a blessing to me and others.

Blessings!Kim Jollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08670842504983601263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6866624902672903575.post-84361248220460829812017-09-22T18:32:02.472-05:002017-09-22T18:32:02.472-05:00Sweet Kim, I love this so much. He is the only true "Daddy" that we can totally rely on no matter what. Our earthly fathers may be good, kind, and loving...or they may be the opposite of that...but our Heavenly Father will never leave us nor forsake us...He will never fail us...and He is only a prayer away. This was so touching, especially knowing that you did not have the joy of knowing your earthly father. I know there will be a great reunion someday between you and your Dad in heaven...and your Heavenly Father will be right there cheering you on and giving you all a big "group hug". What a day that will be!!! This was so touching. Thank you, Kim. You are a blessing.Pamela M.
