Welcome to Week 8 (the final week), of this year's Fall 50 Day Spiritual Adventure! I imagine you are discovering some new things and being reminded of things learned in the past, as you read in the Old and New Testaments. May we never take reading God's Word for granted!
Congratulations! We have made it to the final week of this fall's 50 Day Spiritual Adventure. Please scroll down for the readings. My prayer and hope is that this special time whetted your appetite for God's Word. I encourage you to keep on reading; many treasures await! The words in the Bible are true--read them, heed them, and apply them!
Below the readings for week 8, I have listed the readings for the previous weeks, in case you are interested or if you have gotten behind. Please do not get discouraged if you fall behind. Persevere and keep on reading, this time is not a competition; it is a time to dig into God's Word and learn more about our God who loves the humanity He created.
What have you learned as you have read during the last seven weeks? For those of you who have read through the Bible multiple times, what new ideas has the Holy Spirit revealed to you?

Hi Kim! I'm so happy I came here today, so I could read one of my favorite OT stories. Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Can you image that scene? Only one prophet of God against all the others? And God sends rain down to the amazement of all...especially me!
ReplyDeleteThat has got to teach me that God can do anything, just anything. If it's his will, it's going to get done, no matter what.
Hope you're having a wonderful afternoon :)
Ceil
Hi Ceil! I apologize for my tardy reply. I'm so glad the readings covered one of your favorite OT stories. This scene would be an amazing one to see--God is so much bigger and more powerful than any false god. And yes, God can do anything--so much more than we can even begin to conceive.
DeleteHave a wonderful rest of the week!
Kim
