And
he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was
crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth
before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
(Mark 16:6-7 KJV)
And the angel
answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus,
which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the
place where the Lord lay.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen
from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye
see him: lo, I have told you. (Matthew
28:5-7 KJV)
To my readers: Even though I have not posted much
this year, I remain committed to sharing here about Jesus and helping you learn
and grow in your faith. I encourage you to check out (and like) Faith Journey with Kim: Growing in Christ
Jesus on Facebook; join in the occasional discussion on the posts there. I plan to post soon on a topic that the Lord
placed on my heart several weeks ago.
Today
is a day of celebration! On Easter we
celebrate the wondrous news that Jesus Christ arose from the grave. In Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection He
gave us victory over sin, death, and the grave!
We should rejoice everyday of all we have in Jesus.
As we
remember all that Jesus did for us, may we understand it in a fresh, new way
this year.
On
this special day, I want to encourage you to spend some time worship of our
Savior through reading the Scriptures that tell the story of Jesus’
resurrection and in songs that share the story as well; I will share a couple
songs below for your enjoyment.

Dear
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending
Your only Son to die in our place—to redeem us from our sins—even though we did
not deserve it. With great joy, we
exclaim, on Easter and every day, “HE IS RISEN”!! He is risen indeed! May this knowledge change how we live our
lives each and every day. In Jesus’ Name
we pray. Amen.
From
My Heart to Yours,
Kim
Happy Easter! May God Bless you richly today and everyday!
Alleluia!!! The Lord is risen!!! May we celebrate that fact not just on Easter, but every day as you said here, Kim.
